Default HE5t Washing Machine - Error Code F70

    Hi,
    What is Error Code F-70?
I cannot locate a "key" for this anywhere.

I'm going to reset the washer and see if it re-occurs.
    Thanks,

Well, I unplugged and plugged back in the washer.

Interestingly, it retained the settings from the night before, when I started the laundry - I had set it on a 2 hour delay, and went to bed.

I also noticed that it hadn't even dispensed the soap, but the door was locked and I couldn't check the clothes, but I don't think it even started.

Anyway, it washed the clothes, no problem.
I am hoping it was just a power failure or fluctuation, or something. (I don't think we had a power failure, as all the clocks are still fine - no flashing "12:00" - LOL!

    Hi Michael,

I remember another member had this problem, and did what you did and seem to have solved it after unplugging it for about 30 minutes.

Glad it seems to be working good again, just re-post here if it happens again, also post the model# of your washer, Its located inside the door.

I seem to have the same problem. After doing a lot of research I followed the procedure and decided my code F70 should be the CCU since the drum doesn't spin. I happily ordered one from a vendor listed a lot here and installed. Same problem. I'm hoping to not have to spend the cost of a new machine to figure out whats wrong..lol

I guess to start, I can't turn the machine on at all. When I push the power button it does the beep thing and nothing else.
When I push the buttons to do a manual diagnostic it seems to work but says C00 and beeps 5 times, I do not hear the door lock. It seems to do some other tests but never adds any water or spins at all. then returns to C00 and later will stop at F70.

    Thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any help. I'm prepared to next day any parts you think I need.

    EDIT whoops Model # is 11047091600 it's a HE5T washer

    Hi,

I haven't run into this F70 error code on this newer model HE5, but from reading other posts on our site and other sites, its looking like is a user interface problem.

But on your model they show 2 user interfaces here:
    http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_pn...3005-00003.png
#6 is the center one, #8 is the right side one.

Here's the center one for your model:
Manufacturer part number W10168595 is RepairClinic item number 1455320

Here's the right side one for your model:
Manufacturer part number W10168594 is RepairClinic item number 1455319

I'd hate to see you randomly order these parts myself without knowing for sure which one is the problem, so unless another tech. or member has experienced this and knows for sure, I'd suggest getting Sears to come out to see which one it is.
