    Default Whirlpool Duet Dryer

    Model Number: GEW9250PW1
    Brand: Whirlpool

Hi... after a power blip, my dryer control panel went blank. I can get the panel up by flipping off the breaker, waiting about 20 minutes and then flipping the breaker back on. But, the control panel of the dryer keeps going blank after a cycle or even after being idle for 30 minutes or so.

I just ran the diagnostics. I get a code 6E when I open the door and a code 08 after pressing the "Start" button. And, now I can't get it to reset to normal operation.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jake...

My dryer model is: GEW9250PW1 and the S/N is: MT2421950. Again, the problem is that I have to unplug it or flip off the breaker for half an hour to get the control panel to come alive.

Yes, it sounds like your user interface button/buttons are shorted causing this issue.

Here's the user interface for your model:
    Manufacturer's Number: 8558753

    8558753

Here is the online repair manual for the Whirlpool Duet dryer:
    http://www.applianceblog.com/manuals/Duetdry.pdf
    Give it time to download.

It shows how to get access to the control board & console assembly on page 4-2 through 4-4.

Jake, thanks so much for your prompt response. I'll order the part and give this a try.
