    Unhappy Frigidaire Professional Constant Beeping

    Model Number: PHS38EJSB0
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello,

Well I hope I can find help in this forum!

    I own a
    Frigidaire Professional (French Doors)
    Model - PHS38EJSB0
    Manufactured - 06/08.

As you can tell by the date it is out of warranty.

It has been 2days now that the refrigerator has been CONTINUOUSLY beeping without displaying any error codes or allowing me to control the temperature or anything.

I have tried to reset it or turn it on/off by leaving my finger on the "Freezer/Fridge on/off" button but nothing gives.

The refrigerator is not refrigerating and I don't here the fan go on or the compressor.

The inside light works, the water comes out from the water dispenser and so does the ice.

I am assuming its something to do with the control board.

Can someone tell me what I need to do to get this refrigerator to work again?

    Thank You

Red face I also have the constant beeping

I have a frigidaire side by side model #GLHS66EJW0 which also has power in lights and dispenser but no power in temp control. A constant beeping is the alarm. I have since cut power and am waiting to find out what to do next. The unit is two years old from time of purchase.

I noticed you helped another person by suggesting a control assembly. If that is what I need, where do I order such a device and is this something a handy man can install?

    Yes,

Sounds like you will need a new one too, its the same part# as guesswho's:
Control Board 241739711 Order now for same day shipping. 365 day return policy. RepairClinic.com

Then to install it you remove the #81 screws here: 11-Controls parts for Frigidaire PHS38EJSB0 - AppliancePartsPros.com

And the console drops down then you can access and replace it. Unplug your refrigerator first.

Default Flashing SYEF code on Fridgidaire professional

I have a Fridgidaire model FPHC2399KF0 that is giving me a flashing SYEF code. If I unplug it and wait a few minutes, it clears only to return a few hours later via a high temp alarm on the freezer. What is weird is that the freezer and fridge both seem to be working. Any help would be great.

    Thanks.

Try this: hold and press "v" on the freezer temp and "^" on the refrigerator temp for 5 seconds and see if that solves it.

    Default Error 5b

So I tried the ^ and down at the same time for 5 seconds and the panel now reads 5b and is locked up. If I repeat the process, it goes back to SYEF message.

    Thanks

Ok, then I really don't know then, sorry.

You'll likely need to get Frigidaire to come out.
