Default Ice Maker water level adjustment

    Model Number: n/a
    Brand: Sears Kenmore

I just replaced the icemaker in my Kenmore Refrigerator with the WR30X10093 Kit that fits many other models of refrigerators also. The water slightly overfills the ice tray and freezes the cubes together in the dump tray. Is there an adjustment to correct the amount of water to fill the tray or how di I adjust the WR30X10093 ice maker to prevent this?

    Hi,

No, I don't believe there is a fill adjustment on this ice maker style.

Whats the model# of your refrigerator? Its located inside the refrigerator section on the upper walls or ceiling, or below the refrigerator door on the bottom frame.

You'll likely need to change the water inlet valve to fix this problem.

Where did you buy the ice maker from?

Exclamation ge icemaker wr30x10093 adjustment ice cube size - manual

There is a way to adjust the ice cube size for this model !

On the top front of the unit, remove the small plastic screw cover (center-right). Then remove the phillips screw that holds the cover in-place. Then remove the icemaker plastic cover.

On the right side is a spring-tensioned screw. Look close you will see +/-. Then look closer for the arrows that are raised into the white plastic.

To INCREASE the amount of water (increasing the size of the ice cube), turn this adjusting screw COUNTERCLOCKWISE.

To DECREASE the amount of water (decreasing the size of the ice cube), turn this adjusting screw CLOCKWISE.

    Default Thank you, thank you!

I've been having trouble with my icemaker harvesting cleanly, as all the cubes are frozen together as a chunk when it harvests. Nearly every time it hangs up in the fingers of the harvester. I've adjusted the water screw to reduce the run-time on the valve, and now we'll see. I'm sure this will fix the problem.
