    Default Inner Tub Removal

    Model Number: mav6057aww
    Brand: Maytag

....I am having a difficult time removing the Inner Tub without a Spanner Wrench. I have checked with my Local Appliance Parts store, and they have not carried one for about 2 years. Any idea where I can buy one? I need to replace the Bearings...and thus i need to remove the inner tub to make this happen. PLEASE HELP! =)

Thanks a lot, I appreciate anything you can tell me.

    Hi Jim,

Unless your posted the wrong model#, this model has 4 bolts that hold the inner tub in place, not a hub nut that the really old Maytag's used.

Here's the parts diagram for this model: Parts for Maytag MAV6057AWW: Transmission Parts

See the #5 gasket, it has 4 holes in it for the 4 bolts#2 that hold the inner tub in place.

I am actually trying to remove this part...

I cannot figure out a way to remove it. I have removed the four bolts already.
