Water Below Refrigerator Crisper
More than 10 years
Water is accumulating under the crisper, and black sludge, for lack of an appropriate term is coming out from underneath the fridge. When I discovered it, the water was very moldy.
I do not have access to the back of the fridge. It's basically in a cubby. The counter is on one side and a wall on the other.
Will changing the temp of the fridge or freezer have any effect?
Hotpoint CTF16C is more than 15 years old.
What do you suggest?

You'll have to take off the back wall of your freezer portion and look below the coils, there is a drain which will likely be clogged up with ice,,, first unplug your refrigerator

Thanx for responding.
The back of the freezer does not appear to be removable. There are no screws. The back, and both sides are one piece.
The closest thing I can think of is a cubby, like in nursery schools. It's all one piece. Does that make sense?
If you are willing, I can empty it out and email you pictures.

It sounds like your defrost drain line is clogged, pull your refrigerator out from the wall and take off #315 here:
And see if its clogged in that tube or where it connects to.
