Default Whirlpool Conquest No Ice / No Water from door dispenser

    Model Number: GS6SHAXLQ02
    Brand: Whirlpool

Have a Whirlpool Conquest Side-by-side with Ice Maker and Water Dispenser in the door. Ice quit being produced then no water would come from the dispenser in the door. Checked filter and it's good. Hit the darn thing a few times but my Fonz is not what it used to be...any ideas?

    Ok Jim.

Please double check your model#, no information pulled up on that one.

Feel inside your ice maker tray to see if all the cube slots have ice in them first.

    Got it.

jptl explians how to test your water inlet valve in the back of your refrigerator with a cheater test cord:
    http://www.applianceblog.com/mainfor...-solenoid.html

If your not getting water to the ice maker or water dispenser, then it sounds like you have a bad water inlet valve or your water supply line that hooks-up to it from your home water supply is not providing any water pressure.

Here's the water inlet valve for your model:
    Manufacturer's Number: 4389177

    Keep us posted.

I installed the new part and the Water works now...still no Ice. If I pour water into the ice maker it freezes but will not cycle into the ice bin/tray/container. It does not appear as if water is getting to the ice maker itself. I disconnected the feed tube on the back of the fridge and blew through the tube determining that the tube is clear and will deliver water to the ice maker if supplied from the source. Is there a sending unit I need to replace? Jim

Thats odd, then it sounds like you had two problems, now that we fixed the first one, lets see why the ice maker isn't working.

Now when you manually put water in your ice maker, it should of cycled that out and then call for new water to come in from your new water inlet valve you installed.

So look at the LED light inside the freezer on the right side of your inside freezer wall, and see if that light is blinking or solid ON?

Then also look at your ice maker ejector arm and tell me which way its pointing, straight up? straight down in the ice maker tray?

Normal would be pointing at you just above your head as your looking at it from the front.
