    Default ice freeze's into chunk from ice maker

    Model Number: PSS26MGTCWW
    Brand: GE

    The ice in the inc maker becomes one big chunk and there is frost in the freezer section

    yes there is frost everywhere,, I checked the evaporator coils, there is no ice buildup. the defrost heater works and the evaporator fan motor runs. I ohmed out the thermistor on the evaporator motor, was 20-23 ohms at 20-30 degrees and changes with temp change. Freezer section was at 50+ degrees at 9 pm last night. just checked is at 6 degrees 3:30 am. I will make the adjustment for the ice cubes but, I think the main controler PC board is defective, YES/ NO??? The ice cubes are melting then freezing again.

    Yes, then its likely the motherboard is bad.
