Default Samsung Dryer - No Heat / Still tumbling

    Model Number: DV218AEB/XAA
    Brand: other

    Samsung - Model# DV218AEB/XAA

    Working fine yesterday.

Now the drum turns fine, no error codes, but fails to produce heat.

Checked the exaust and it's clear... ran five minutes, no heat on clothing.

Jake... can you help me with troubleshooting steps like you did with my refrigerator?

    Thanks!

Opened up the back to see what kind of mess I was in and noticed two circular sensors on the heating element casing. Checked them and they both have continuity. Checked the heater element (I'm assuming that's what the white little connector feeds to is the element inside the sheet metal) and it's showing no continuity. How hard is it to get all this loose? Am I going to have to remove the whole outer shell to get at it?

I feel like a obstetrician. *sigh*

Ya'll know I'm a visual guy.... here's the parts I tested (unplugged the dryer first).

Checked for continuity on 1-5-2 and 1-6 and got a reading of no resistance.

Checked the terminal at 1-7 and it reported no continuity. Now how do you get the silly thing out to see?

    Hi gnoles,

I'm sorry, I never worked on a Samsung dryer , nor do I have training on them, so I'm afraid can't help you.

Got the element out and... yup, it's broken...

Is it good practice to go ahead and replace the sensors on the dryer while you have it apart?

Any hints on how you got the element out? I've got the same problem and would appreciate any help.
    Thanks.
