Default kitchenaid superba side by side leaking underneath

    Model Number: KSRG25FKWH01
    Brand: KitchenAid

Hello- we just started noticing water leaking underneath the front right of the refrigerator- we pulled the unit out and the drip pan was full- we drained water out by using rags and a bucket- only to notice it was completely full the next morning and leaking a lot of water on my hardwood floors-

I have been looking online for possible things- but am lost? any ideas where to start or begin how to stop the water leaking?

We bought this brand new and its 9 yrs old and never had any issues before.

    thanks for your help-

    Hi,

Ok, its possibly your filter housing thats leaking and dripping water into your drain pan then onto the floor. You would need to get a flashlight and look underneath the front and see, have someone press the water dispenser while your looking underneath.

It should be behind the front bottom kickplate grille. Its easier when you open both doors and pull hard and that kickplate grille will unsnap off.

I've replaced a few in the last couple years myself for this issue.

Here's the filter housing for your model, in case you need to order it:
    Manufacturer's Number: 2186443

ok Jake- we have been watching underneath and it appears one of the hoses that comes from the back is having a constant drip into the dip pan- the part you mentioned shows no leaking at all-

the hose hooks into a cup link of red and blue...
    any other ideas?

I was searching some info on this same problem. You seem like you know this problem fairly well. My water filter housing seems to be leaking where the hose goes into it. How do you detach the hoses and how do you get the housing out?

Do you have the exact same model# as the person above?

You get to it from the front, like I mentioned above with the kickplate removed.

Then you push-in hard on those gray snap rings where the hoses go into it, while pulling the hoses out hard at the same time.
