Default refrigerator door handle is loose

    Model Number: EW23SS65HS
    Brand: Electrolux
    Age: 1-5 years

hi guys, i have an electrolux side by side, the model number posted is not neccessarily the right one just put one in there, but my fridge looks just like that one. the refrigerator door side handle is loose, i took out the handle and a screw sticks out of the door which i found that is what really loose. i want to take the door apart, take out the gasket and then take the white panel from the inside out. but the panel is "glued" with some kind of yellowish spongie adhesive which i don't know what it is. i can take it apart but don't know what to use to put it back together. i was thinking of putting a nut from the inside to the screw on the outside to make it nice and tight. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

Why can't you just tighten that door handle screw?

You can't take these doors apart if they are glued in place.

i tried yesterday with a larger diameter screw and worked good until i trie puttin the handle over the screw, on the handle there is a little screw that when tighten it screws right into the screw from the refrigerator and that how it tightens. it would not tighten as i used a regular round hed screw, i need more of larger hex head. i will try to look for that kind of screw
