Default [FIXED] Kenmore gas stovetop not lighting

    Model Number: 362.75575691
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: More than 10 years

I have a Kenmore gas stove that the top burners are having a hard time to light off. When i put the knob to lite the igniters are clicking but no flameup.I have checked all the small orfaces in the burners and every one is clean.I can see spark from the igniters and smell gas but no lite.Thought it might be spark module not putting enough juice out.Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

The spark module may have a weak coil, which is not providing sufficient voltage to ignite the gas BURNERS.

I've chaged a few in my 20+ years of being an appliance tech. and that fixed it on the ones I went out on.

Unplug your range before changing it, its usually located in the very back of your range, behind the back access panel.

Here's the spark module for your model you can order here:

Jake, Thanks for the quick reply! That is where i am at right now.I have been watching the igniters and they fade away like they are losing spark.I think that is the problem rather than a bad igniter.I think the coil is losing power. Thanks again i will get one ordered. Wade

Jake,I got parts ordered from your supplier here.I had to order the 2 lf/rf Gas Burner Lines because when i lifted the range top to check everything out it kinked the 2 front lines and when i put the top down it cracked them.I know now to pull the 4 screws from the burners before i lift the range top off.Must be a reason why they only have the 2 front lines listed in their parts listing, because that happens periodically.

    Yes, that is odd.

Did you locate the spark module? Usually its in the very back of the range behind the back access panel.
