Dryer motor turns very slowly
My dryer won't start and it has a hum when you push the start button. I have taken the drum out and hooked it back up to power, and if I hold the start button down the motor will start to turn slowly and continue to turn slowly, but when I let go of the start button it stops. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the motor is bad.
You may want to test the motor with a cheater test cord first to make the timer is sending the proper voltage to it.
A test to see if motor is any good, hook up a test cord to terminals 4 & 5 on the motor, plug into a 120 volt outlet to see if the motor will run. If motor runs NORMAL, the trouble is the timer.
