Default Kenmore 70 series stops running after about 5-10 minutes

    Model Number: 110.66712694
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: 6-10 years

Ok, I'm not a mechanically inclined woman but this site helped me before fix my dryer and I'm hoping you can do it again! Here's the problem. After I start the dryer, it will run for about 5-10 minutes and then quit. After it sits for a bit, I can restart it but again after a few minutes, it quits. So, where do I begin?

P.S. Small words and pictures work best

Check your wiring. Sounds like the motor is trying to run on 220 vac.

Did the wires go on the motor individualy or is there a plastic connector with all the wires on it that connects to the motor?

On some of those connectors it's easy to be off by one terminal. Check that first. If it apears the wire connector is in the right spot, short the two door switch wires together and with the drum still out of the cabinet start the dryer on several cycles and see if the noise is still there. Turn the heat off so it's on air fluff. When you were replacing the motor did you run into any problems?
