Default Frigidaire washer spin cycle not working

    Model Number: NMWS336FS1
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

We got this used around a year ago. It would rock and shake during the spin cycle. It didn't seem to be a problem with the legs or the clothes being uneven. We should have done something about it then, but life got in the way. After a while the spin cycle would sometimes cut out and make clicking noises. Now the spin cycle has completely stopped. It fills up with water, but when I try to run the spin cycle it will make clicking and whirring noises.
    Thanks for any help!

Your washer should drain first before spinning, does it drain all the water within 90 seconds? Time it, without clothes in it, full it up full to the top with water.

If its not draining within 90 seconds or not draining at all then You may have a clog in your drain motor, or a impeller fin or two is broken off inside it.

There are two screws on the front bottom panel on either side a few inches in.. remove these and gently pull the bottom of the front panel towards you, and release the clips for the top. The front panel should drop down. Inside the unit towards the left rear is the pump assembly, Remove the hoses and carefully look inside for clogs or broken impeller fins.

Here's the drain motor for your model, in case you need to order it:

Getting the water pump out without flooding your house.

I use a pinch off tool, you can buy it at Sears:

You pinch the tub-to-drain motor rubber hose off.

Thanks for your help. It does not drain. We checked out the pump. It did not appear to be broken and we could not see a clog.

Ok, you'll need a volt meter to check for 120 volts at the drain pump when it should be draining. The motor inside the drain pump could be bad causing this and thats possibly what you were hearing.
