Question Elextrolux Fridge with strange problems

    Model Number: EW26SS65GS0
    Brand: Electrolux
    Age: 1-5 years

Have had our EW26SS65GS0 for a little over three years ago. We ended up having problems with it a year or two ago and Electrolux ended up refunding our money after a couple attempts at repairing it but they let us keep it. I have not been able to find anyone with the same issues as what ours has had but figured I would see if anyone had any suggestions. The temperature in both freezer and fridge are perfect. The icemaker works just fine. (Common problems I have read from others) Our problem started with CE errors. Unplugged the fridge for a while and then it would work for a few hours and get the error again. Did this a couple times waiting at least half an hour before plugging the fridge back in each time. Then the High Temp light came on. We immediately went to the store to get two thermometers and found the temps were perfect. We called for service after that. The technician they sent out replaced the control board, but did not fix the issue. Long story short High Temp light is on but temps are perfect and have been for over a year. Light in the fridge does not work but works in the freezer. (Stopped the same time the high temp light came on) Lastly the water dispenser doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas? Appreciate any help, D

Which control board did the tech replace?

The main power board, and what I suspect is causing the problem, is located under the refrigerator and covered with a metal cover. Here is what it looks like on your machine:

Alright got the new part installed and same problem. High temp light thinks it is 32 degrees in there. Manual thermometer inside shows right around 0 or a little lower. No lights, water, or anything. Any other ideas?

Thats odd, what board did the tech. change out?

Your not having very good luck with this Electrolux model if your on the 2nd one, and now this one is giving you problems.

You can return the control board for a full refund.

The only other possiblity I can see is the Dispenser board with touchpad kit, Electrolux has upgraded this:
    Manufacturer Number 5303918539

But its currently $449 for this kit, I'd contact Electrolux directly and let them know the issues you've had, and they may send this kit out for free.

Sorry for the confusion. This is still the original fridge. They never replaced it, rather Lowe's just refunded our money but still let us keep the fridge. Since it still keeps good temps and the ice maker works couldn't justify throwing it away. So I figured it was worth trying a couple things.

Will talk with the wife and might as well try out that kit that you showed there. With being able to send the parts back I am not as reluctant to try out parts. I will order those and let you know how it goes.

And as for what parts did the technician replace, honestly I am not sure. I did see him removing the bezel around the water and area the last time he was there. Worth giving it a shot at least. Again appreciate the help and will update the post once I get the parts.

Do you know of anywhere to get a good schematic of the panels in this kit? I have found some online but they are not detailed enough to see things once you zoom in.

That is perfect! Thanks. Going to try and pin down the common denominator between those couple problems.
