Default Kitchenaid Dishwasher leaving particles in glasses on top rack

    Model Number: KUDP02CRBS2
    Brand: KitchenAid
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello everyone!

Recently I have started to notice the glasses on the top rack of my dishwasher are not coming clean. They will come out with particles inside, outside, and at the bottom of the glasses.

The bottom rack cleans perfectly fine.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...or a schematic so I can open up the catch or check the upper spray arm?

I'm not sure exactly what I should do...

We having been fighting the same problem with our KA dishwasher - KUDP02CRWH0. We cleaned out our sump area, re-did the hoses, used dishwasher magic, changed out the soap. We still get grit in glasses on the top rack. The glasses are sparkling clean with grit. My husband is ready to throw it to the curb.

The main things to check is your water level in the dishwasher should come up almost to the heating element, your water temp. coming in should be 120-140 degrees.

Thanks for the tip. We do run the hot water before we start up the dishwasher. We will double check the water level.

We never put the glasses over the tine. We have been using a gel detergent. Over 50% of the glasses in the last load had grit. Everything on the lower rack was fine.

I will let you know what happens.

So I opened the door of the DW after it filled. the water level was about a half inch below the heating element. Good or bad?
