Didn't find anything on an 09.
See tech sheet attached.

I have a whirlpool Duet GEW9250PW1 dryer, the panel lights up but when every I press start (or any other button) it just makes a beep noise. I put the dryer in "test mode" and I get a 09 code. Can someone tell what the problem could be? Also just a side note, before this problem started to happen, when I opened the dryer door there was a little spark as if maybe a fuse was blown but I didn't pay much attention to it.
Thank you in advance!
I looked online and it said it could be an "overflow condition"....
How do I put the dryer on test mode? I Press the following control panel keypad sequence all within 5 seconds: More Time—Less Time—More Time—Less Time.
From the tech sheet I linked to above...
Be sure the dryer is in standby mode(plugged in and all indicators off).2. Press the following button sequence:More Time ➔ Less Time ➔ More Time ➔ Less Time – all within 5 seconds. 3. All indicators on the console are illuminatedwith 88 showing in the Estimated TimeRemaining (two-digit) display, if this testmode has been entered successfully.
I do that but it just displays 09...
See if any of the plastic buttons are broken....but if it won't enter a test mode the controls would be suspect
