Default Dishwasher stops randomly...green light flashes...sometimes will run...sometimes not

    Model Number: KUDP02FRBL0
    Brand: KitchenAid
    Age: 6-10 years

OK, my dishwasher will randomly stop during normal and heavy duty cycles, and usually the tub is full of water when it does, and the green light will be flashing. I have tried moving things around, then push the start button again and it will try to start again, but something keeps making it stop! Now if I press cancel it will usually drain the tub, and believe it or not it will run a quick wash cycle with no trouble! I popped the breaker, and the first cycle after that ran great, BUT, the next cycle was back to giving me trouble. I can't figure out what is stopping it (especially when the quick wash will run all the way through). It seems it might be something electrical, but I have no idea where to start. Any direction would be so appreciated!

The light between the start/resume and cancel button...it is green when running and then turns blue to indicate it is done. It flashes when something has interrupted the cycle. And also, today I had it stop on me during a quick cycle...oh no!

Interesting, Rick there isn't a button for a light in between start/resume and cancel button, could it been a hidden button light for tech. diagnostics?

Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power. Open console and disconnect the keypad ribbon connection from the control (at P1). Put console back together. Plug in dishwasher or reconnect power. With door latched, disconnect and reconnect thermistor or OWI sensor two times in less than 6 seconds. Wait 10 seconds, and then monitor the control’s response to the thermistor: If the control is OK it will respond by running service diagnostics. Listen for it to begin filling after it concludes the 5–10 second display test at the beginning of the service diagnostics cycle. Check and/or replace the keypad.

Yes, that is the control panel on my dishwasher, and though you can't see it, right between the start/resume button and the cancel button is where the light is. It is just a normal light that indicates when the dishwasher is running (green), when it is paused (green flashing), and when the dishes are clean (blue). What is happening to me is I will start a cycle and it will run a little while, and then randomly the light starts flashing as if the door had been opened and it won't continue to run. So I open and close the door, press start, and it will run a little while longer...I basically do this about 20 times in the time of a normal cycle. I can't figure out what is causing it to stop mid-cycle.
