Default What size is my Kenmore Coldspot?

I'm not a dope, but I've looked at the plate in the refrigerator and I've looked at the manual, and no place tells the cubic fee of my side-by-side. It's Model # 106.9555923, produced in June 1996. I'm thinking of getting a new cabinet-depth side-by-side that is 22.6 cubic feet (Frigidaire) that looks remarkably smaller. Any ideas?

The cubic feet size refers to the interior space of the refrigerator/freezer, not exterior dimensions. Just measure your available space: Height, width and depth and you'll have your answer.

Thanks, but I AM referring to the interior space. The model # gives no hint, and all the paperwork shows no mention. It's almost like it's generic paperwork if you had an 18 cubic foot or a 25 cubic foot reefer. I'm not interested in exterior dimensions. Sorry for the confusion.

If it looks smaller, you probably have the 25 cube currently.

Thats the one thing I always hated when I worked at Sears, was trying to figure out the model# code that tells you the cubit ft. another tech. told me how, but I already forgot.

When I worked at Montgomery Wards, all of their refrigerators had it very easy to read in the model#.

What cracks me up is they don't even put it in the owner's manual!

Yes, I don't understand why they try to hide it from us all!
