Dryer has stopped drying clothes
I have Mytag MDE5500AYW dryer. It has stopped drying clothes. Both "Sensor Dry" and "Time Dry" do not dry the clothes. It runs but there is not enough heating to dry the clothes.
I have tried taking out the power plug out to reset the machine but no help. When the dryer runs the air does come out of the vent.

No heat or long dry time..........

I think it no heat. I ran the dryer for more than 120 minutes for a load. The clothes almost dried up but assumed it was because of the just air. When I opened the dryer during the drying session, the temp in the dryger was almost at the room temp.

Ok, pull the dryer out, remove the vent hose, run the dryer and tell us if it is heat or no heat.....we cannot help you till we know which one....if it heats with the vent hose off and dries ok then you know you have an air flow problem from the dryer to the outside, you will need to fix your dryer venting system.

Thanks a lot. I will try pulling off the vent and running the dryer later in the evening and will post the update. Thanks again for the help.
I hope this is the issue.

Following the following steps to confirm that the dryer is not heating up:
1. Pulled the dryer out
2. Remove the vent hose
3. Run the dryer for 5 minutes
4. The air coming out was cold

What are the next steps?

Sounds like you either have a bad house breaker, not getting 240 volts to it, only 120 to make the motor run, but not heat. Or a broken element, or bad hi-limit thermostat.

1.5 year old maytag dryer
Well my dryer isnt really drying the clothes no more. It gets hot but not enough to dry the clothes and the lint in front isnt showing anything. Well today i unplugged my dryer hose and ran it for like 5 minutes and it dryed the clothes fine and got very hot and it showed dust on the lint thing. Im just wondering how i go about cleaning out my vent system if it is clogged. My vent is on the roof.

And, as we have said many times, therein lies the problem. Never going to work efficiently.
