Default Maytag Oven taking a long time to heat up

    Model Number: PGR4410CDW
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: 6-10 years

Back again......and way to soon. It's the oven this time.

    Model - PGR4410CDW
    Serial - 14391512CE

Our oven is taking a long time to heat up. My wife set it for 450 and after five minutes it felt like it wasn't even on yet. It took about 10 minutes before it started getting hot inside and 15 minutes before it reached the desired temp.

Any suggestions as to where to start looking?

    Hi,

Check the igniter first, if ok then the temp control is suspect, a weak ignitor is often the trouble maker....

Ignitor is checked with an amp meter. Should draw 3.2-3.6 amps to be good.
