Default Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series wont drain fully

    Model Number: 110.82870820
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: More than 10 years

My washer will go through all cycles and when it turns off the clothes are still soaking wet and have suds on them.
I removed the cabinet and jumped the lid switch out. Replaced the pump and checked all hoses. Ran it without the cabinet and the pump is turning and a small amount of water is going to the drain.

HELP we are leaving for vacation in 3 days and need to get some laundry done!!

    Hi,

Something between the tanks ( coin, clothing ), something caught in one of the hoses would be prime suspect.

    Removing the basket helps..

If you just replaced the pump and only a small amount of water is draining out, there's a blockage in the hose either between the bottom of the tub and the pump or the drain and the pump. Either that or the new pump is bad.

could be a kinked hose or the brakeclutch is not spinning fast enough .

It's a direct drive machine ricks appliance, the pump is attached to the motor so transmission, clutch, brake, spin tube or tub it doesn't matter what's spinning and what's not spinning as long as the motor is working and if one of those washer parts was slowing the motor it would kick off on the overload. The only hose that could kink is the drain hose and that's hard to do when the drain hose connection is at the bottom of the machine and the drain hose is usually just long enough to reach the drain. My guess would be the blockage is a sock between the drain and the pump.
