WP Electric Dryer won't run on Autodry cycle
My sister gave me her 1-year old Whirlpool dryer. This model does not have a separate controller for temperature---instead, I have a single dial controller. The cycles are Fluff Air, Timed Dry (High Heat), Auto Dry (High Heat) and Auto Dry (Low Heat).
Everything functions perfectly except the Auto Dry-Low Heat cycle. When you select that part of the dial and push the button, nothing happens.
PLEASE HELP! Of course, I use the low heat setting more than any other setting, and after a week of laundry hell, I have about 30 loads to do this "holiday" weekend.

A nice simple dryer
This model does not have a separate controller for temperature---instead, I have a single dial controller
Push to start switch, motor, door switch, thermal fuse, ect work on all other cycles = thye should be ok....kinda sounds like the timer itself may be at fault for the one non-working cycle.
Everything functions perfectly except the Auto Dry-Low Heat cycle. When you select that part of the dial and push the button, nothing happens
The timer contacts can be ohmed for continuity with an ohm meter as per the wire diagram that comes with the dryer to confirm the timer is open/not working in that one cycle.
