Default Maytag Quiet Series 300 will not start

The lights on the control panel work as you would expect, but nothing happens when I push start. I have not used the dishwasher in two weeks and just tried to use it and nothing happens. I don't see how something can go wrong when has just been sitting idle. Has anyone had this problem, if so, what can i do to fix it. Thank You

    Hi,

Whats the model# of your dishwasher? its located inside the door.

Possibly a faulty door switch or control board problem.

First try turning the breaker off to it for 5 minutes, then if it still does the same thing, take off your bottom access panel, and look for the diagnostic service sheet and run it through a self-test.

Default touchpad problems with Quiet Series 300

I have had the electronic touchpad replaced once already - when it was under warrently. it is now, a year later, not working again... it is completely unresonsive to anything - at first it was stuck on the "insta wash" setting and nothing I did would change that - and now it won't do anything at all - so I can't use the dishwasher.

is a common problem? - I wonder how many others are having problems with the electronic keypad - Maytag refuses to see this as a design flaw and expects me to pay to have it fixed because it's outside the warrenty now.

    Default One more case

I have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 model number MDPTT60AWW that has the same problem as many others discussed here - half of the buttons are not working now (after about 1.5 years) including Start button. Delay start is also not working. Can somebody point me to the part type/number that I have to replace? Is this something that I will be able to do without any special tools or advanced skills?

    Thank you,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Please double check your model# again, that one doesn't pull up anything.

    I think I found your model# Alex.

    MDBTT60AWW

Here's the control panel for your model:

Its fairly easy to change, just unscrew the inner door liner screws that hold the console in place, then it will come off, and disconnect the ribbon cable from the control board.

    Jake,

Thanks a lot for locating this part for me (MDBTT60AWW is indeed the right model number). Before I spend $140 on this part, can you give me an idea on how often do you see this problem repeating in this type of dishwasher? Maybe it's better to take my losses and get a new model (with warranty this time.

    Thank you,
    Alex
