We got a Kenmore washer back in December and it had been working great, until recently. Starting about two weeks ago, whenever we wash something, several articles of clothing get stuck under the agitator after the spin cycle and the washer stops. We don't overload the washer, wrap clothes around the agitator, or pack the clothing down. This happens on every wash and I have no idea what the problem is. Washer specs below:
Kenmore 80 Series -- Heavy Duty
Type 111
Mod 110.15842400
We live 300 miles from the nearest Sears or Kenmore affiliate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

How much room is under the agitator? You may have a stripped out drive block, allowing the basket to drop down.

Hi all,
**You may have a stripped out drive block, allowing the basket to drop down.**
This is the area ( under the agitator ) that MM is talking about....

Thank's guys. I actually found someone to come take a look a it and repair it. I'd try it myself, but all I'd do is end up buying a new washer when I was done!

Reminds me of a sign in the reception area of the mechanic I used to go to back in the homeland...
"There is a 10% surcharge if we have to listen to your personal problems while you are here. This increases to 25% if you have attempted to repair the vehicle yourself before having it towed here".

Sorry it's been so long. Anyway, here's the skinny. The motor coupler broke. But that wasn't the only problem. It seems that someone forgot to put oil in the transmission when it was being assembled. So, we got a new tranny as well.
Like I said, I wasn't even going to think about fixing it myself.
Thanks for the help!
