Default Washer/Dryer Recommendations

We're about to move to Atlanta and have to buy new appliances. My wife would like a front-loader and is considering the Whirlpool Neptune. I see there are a lot of comments about 7+ year old models, but I didn't see much about recent units. I also see recommendations on the Whirlpool Duet.

We need electric units, and want to save on water/power costs. We have a family of four.

Your thoughts on the newest models available?

You mean the Maytag Neptune?

Yes, they have fixed all the previous issues on these, so it would be fine to purchase it.

The Whirlpool Duets are very good too.

Either one should do fine.

Jake is right, both are good. Most of the problems I see with theese machines are caused from over loading. Thought you might like to know.
