Default Tankless Water Heater Question

This is sort of related to my other thread... I have been thinking about them as an add on for that one water heater. Mostly because of the bathtub. Plus, in addition to our bathroom, this tank feeds another shower upstairs. As the kids get older, it could be a problem for the parents... I hate cold showers. If I were to get one, would I hook it in series with the tanked water heater, and would I put it before or after the tanked water heater? Little running bet in the office going here, I said after.
