[FIXED] Whirlpool Ultimate Care 2 Dryer Won't Heat
Hi, sorry to bother you on a holiday, but our Whirlpool Ultimate Care 2 dryer won't heat. This is electric and the model number is:
LEQ9858PW1. I suspect a thermal fuse (no vent blockage), but have no idea where it is nor how to replace it. Thanks.

Is it running and not heating? Or not running at all?
If its running and not heating then its possibly your thermal cut-off.
Unplug your dryer, pull it out from the wall, take the back panel off.
I would start by checking for continuity on your thermal cut-off. If you don't have an ohm meter take the wires off and jump it, use alligator clips OR electrical tape to tape them together, just for testing, DON'T RUN IT THAT WAY FOR A CYCLE IF IT WORKS!
Here is a photo of the back of your dryer without the back access panel on:

#1 is your thermal cut-off.
Here's the one for your model you can order:
Part#279816

Whirlpool Ultimate Care 2 Dryer Won't Heat
Well, I checked out the thermal cut-off and there was continuity. I jumped the wires anyway and still no heat. The dryer does have power and no breakers tripped. What should I check next? Thanks

Ohm the heating element#4 in the diagram above for continuity, take the wires off it first, make sure your dryer is unplugged.
Here's the heating element for your model in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer's Number: 279838

Whirlpool heating element
Yep, the heating element was it, Jake. Thanks, but now my wife wants a whole new dryer. I am throwing some money into the Paypal pot anyway. Thanks for your quick and accurate responses.

What is the next troubleshooting step for no heat?
I've checked both items for continuity. What is the next step?

Is yours running but not heating, or not running at all? If the latter, ohm the thermal fuse for continuity.
