    Default my whirlpool dryer will heat up but not dry my clothes

    my whirlpool dryer will heat up but will not dry my clothes. not sure why the heating element will turn red and it is also venting hot air if someone knows what the problem could be i sure would appreciate it if you could share it with me

    Try the dryer with the vent hose off the dryer and run a load.. If the load of cloths dry in a reasonable amount of time then the problem is with the venting system going to the outside,,,if not then it could be a problem with the cycling thermostat or the back felt seal on the drum might be bad...
