    Default Whirpool GEW9200LW1 Controls not working properly

    Model Number: GEW9200LW1
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 6-10 years

    I have a Whirlpool Duet dryer GEW9200LW1, and the main indicator settings light jumps from setting to setting as I turn the primary settings knob. For example, if I try to select Normal cycle, I turn the knob but the indicator light jumps from Delicate to Heavy duty. Rarely is it actually pointing to the setting that is illuminated. I cannot actually select the Normal cycle. The dryer seems to be working fine other than this annoying issue. What can be wrong and what do I do to fix it?
