Default Gas Dryer not heating at all

    Model Number: LGQ8000JQ2
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 6-10 years

    Hello,

My gas dryer just stopped heating. I've checked the exhaust and it is clear. Lint is removed regularly. What do I check first?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Enrique

I removed the igniter and ohm'd it. I get 53.7 when testing for continuity. The video mentioned the minimum should be 50. Is this my problem?

Nope, that would be close enough.
Does it glow red when calling for heat?....if no, check the thermal fuse...

Make sure you check the filter, venting and vent hood....those are common reasons for the fuse to let go.
    Thankx for the updae.
