Hi Jake: We have a Whirlpool LSQ9200LQ3 washing machine. It is about 5 years old. Notes from my wife...
"The problem began when the washer not spinning at the spin-cycle. You could hear that the washer was on but the tub would not spin. I first dealt with the problem by shaking the entire machine back and forth until something would catch and it would start spinning. Then I rigged so it will stay on with the top door open and I reach my hand in and spin the tub manually. Now it will only work if I over load it with towels all the way to the top during the rinse cycle because it will only spin if it has a heavy load in it (I still have to do it manually)." Some reading I've done suggests it may be a problem with the "transmission?" I did not realize washing machines had transmissions... Any ideas? As always, thanks Jake! Chad |

Hi Jake: As always, I appreciate your help. You are correct that the parts are fairly expensive and I think the repair may be beyond my skill level. I'll consider both the repair and a replacement.
THANKS Jake! ![]() CDL |
