Hi,

Sounds like possibly something stuck/jammed in your drain pump.

Here is the official online repair manual for the Whirlpool Duet Sport:
https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/6545d78b3f479480852571650061b1ba/$FILE/8178558.pdf
Read page 4-17 & 4-18 to access the drain pump.

Here's the drain pump for your model:
Manufacturer part number W10130913 is RepairClinic item number 1373005
W10130913

hey Jake, so I emptied the drain pump and got out a few minor things, still not working. i tried to start another load and and it does the one spin then normally this is when water is suppose to be entering but nothing... and its making that sound by the detergent dispenser motor and assembly its almost like there is a little lid that's being opened and closed very fast

okay Jake I figured it out! so I took off the top and tried to start another load and it was the dispenser motor in fact what it is its the cam actuator and the other piece of plastic connected to that what happens is the motor shaft rotates and the plastic piece #8540395 connected to the cam bends upwards and binds up and doesn't allow itself to rotate or open. anyhow now that i know what it is i don't know how to fix it the only way it works is if i manually move the piece#8540395 after it gets stuck

Ok, glad you found the problem.

You'll need a new dispenser assembly.

Here's the dispenser assembly for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 8540058 - Dispenser

Here's the parts diagram for your dispenser:

Yes, just follow the instructions in the repair manual I linked to above.

You can print those pages out as well.

I can't really say it happens frequently, its kinda rare to go out, but can happen.

Jake
