Default Washer won't agitate

hey Jake how are you? here is my problem yesterday i was working in a kitchenaid Washer model # KAWS677EQ0. The problem with this washer is that it doesnt agitate, when i turn it on the motor works but the transmission doesnt move. I tried to spin the inner tub with my hands and i couldnt move it, the tub was to hard. i took two pictures for you to see, the only thing that move when the motor turns is the piece of plastic that goes between the transmission and the motor. so i need to know what parts i need to repleace to have this washer working again one more time thank you for your help.

Hi Laz,

Sounds like your motor coupling is broke.

Here's the motor coupling for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 285753A
285753A

Read #2 and #5 here on how to access and change it:

Jake thank you for your quick response like always. why the drum was to hard to turn by hand ?? shouldn't it be easy to turn since the coupling is mess up?

Not necessarily, because its resting on the brake when its idle, so to test the turning of the drum you have to turn the gearcase shaft the opposite way from agitation to see if the gearcase/basket drive will turn the drum. If its still really hard to turn, then its likely you will need a new gearcase/basket drive/clutch assembly, which is a major overhaul and would cost more than its worth to fix it.
