Default whirlpool dryer model GEW9250PW0 will not start

Model Number: GEW9250PW0
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 1 -5 years

Tryed to start dryer and only got the beep. Checked thermal overload per other posts it was good. Went into diagnostic mode and got a 6E code on the display. Went through all the other diagnostics test and they all work except when I open and close the door I do not get the OE display or a beep

Hi,

It sounds like your door switch is bad.

Here's that door switch for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 8283288

You were right Jake. Door switch is bad. Even though the switch clicks and the light goes out with the door shut it had one bad contact. Just have to wait for the new one to get here to replace. Thanks for all your help
