Default Kitchen Aid Repair KGYS700GQ1

KGYS700GQ1
Serial #MK1907946

A recent load of dried laundry came with a "gift". This part appears to have fallen off and does not want to return to its proper place.

Can someone tell me:

1) What this part is?

2) Its purpose?

3) If its damaged - one of the pins looks twisted - not sure if this is by design

4) Best way to repair, or if it needs replacement?

Hi,

Thats your sensor assembly, I've seen them just fall off like this too myself, you will need a new sensor kit, comes with instructions.

Here's the sensor kit for your model you can order:
Manufacturer's Number: 279366
