Default whirlpool Ultimate Care2 Washer Draining?

Hello and thank you in advance to any help provided to me...

I own a Whirlpool Ultimate Care2 washer that came with the house when I bought it.

The Model number is LSB6200KQ0 and the Ser number is CL4816515.

My wife did a load of wash yesterday and mentioned that when she checked on it that it was stopped but still filled with water. She pushed the knob in and pulled it back out and it seemed to finish.

She then did another load of wash but now it fills fine and aggitates fine, but when it gets to the rinse and spin cycle it simply dies out as if it was shutoff. It will not spin or drain the water.

I have tried all diff load types and still nothing. i have tried leaving the knob pulled out and slowly turning it to make it cycle into a drain or spin and still nothing. It does have a buzzing noise though near the spin cycle setting.

Any ideas of what it could be? cost of part? and is it easy or worth fixing?

Thank you.

Its possibly the lid switch, try pushing down on the lid when this happens.

When you close your lid, do you hear a clicking sound just before your lid closes?

Here's the lid switch for your model, in case you need to order it:
Manufacturer's Number: 3949247

Here's a help link to access it:

Also with no clothes in it, put the timer on all the spin cycles and see if it spins at all without water in the tub.

Is the washer still full of water?

I drained by hand most of the water...should I hear a click no matter what setting it is on or just rinse/ spin?

And thanks again!

Yes, you should hear the click sound when you close the lid and when you raise the lid no matter what cycle.

Oh...then no, its not making a electrical clicking noise.
I'm a auto mechanic but love to tinker with things. Is this something easy enough for the home-body to fix/replace?

Yes, unplug your washer, then you have to remove the 2 console screws on each side:

Then lift the console forward and up and tilt it back so it rests on its plastic hinges.

Then:
Using the flat blade screwdriver remove the two brass colored clips that hold the cabinet to the rear of the washer. Picture. Unplug the wires leading to the lid switch. Picture. Pull the cabinet toward you and tilt it. It will disconnect from the base of the washer and come completely off. Picture. You are now where you can make repairs on about any component in the washer.

Then you can replace the lid switch:

The lid switch assembly on your model is #11 here:
