Default No heat - timer not moving

I have an Estate by Whirlpool - model # TEDS740JQ1

the dryer will not heat. I checked the exhaust, replaced the power cord, the heat element, the thermal fuse, and the therostat on the heat element. I may have been jumping the gun a little, but now I just learned that I could test using a meter.

Also, the timer is not moving, which I learned could be a cause of the dryer not heating. Is this true? I probably wasted money on other parts when I didn't have to and should of realized I need to replace the timer.

Should I buy a meter and test the timer? If it is not moving, what are the causes?

Thank you

Hi,

Testing with a volt/ohm meter is best way to check what parts are good and which are bad.

I will give you both a link about what to test and check on dryers:
