Default Whirlpool dryer timer question

i have a whirpool dryer (as pictured) that when it shuts off if you turn the timer backwards (counter clockwise) it will turn back on. Now it seem to only do this only soon after it shuts off if you try it. I mean it works great. Pictured is the timer selection as well. Is this normal?

Whats the model#?

Possibly its the timer or push-to-start switch.

When you turn it to another cycle properly does it start by-itself?
