Whirlpool Microwave MH6150XHB-1 turntable stopped
Howdy,
Glad I found your forum--you all are awesome! I have a problem with the turntable in our Whirlpool MH6150XHB (mfg 2001). It just stopped turning, and now occasionally the entire unit hums quite loudly. It still works ok--just has a few more hotspots... Is there a user-replaceable part to get my turntable working again, or am I stuck buying a whole new unit? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
Make sure the drive block is not cracked and that the wheels are not broken or jammed up....failing those....power to the turn table motor tested with a volt meter and no go = new motor time.
The motor is accessed from below.
Motor, turntable

Thanks! I'll take a look and see if I can get that base plate off. Do you know where I can access a tech manual?

There will be a tech/wire sheet inside the unit....usually rolled up in the control area.
