Default Whirlpool won't drain (not the lid switch).

After sitting for 2-3 years, our barely used Kirkland Select Washer, Mod # SAWX650JQ0, won't drain, and the selector switch hums when it tries to. I examined the lid switch, and by barely pressing down on it, it came apart.

"Wow, this'll be easy," I thought as I fished out the bottom half of the switch and examined it. The housing was cracked but nothing seemed to be wrong with the switch mechanics, so I decided to do some hayseed repairs. I disassembled the cabinet so I could remove the switch, then I put the cabinet back on. I reattached the switch harness and folded the console back down, with the switch and its wires hanging out of a gap. I grounded the switch to another grounding screw on the back of the washer, and then I bridged the switch while attempting to drain the washer. An audible humming came from the selector dial just like before, and no draining, just like before.

Is it the pump? It seems logical, but I haven't heard about this selector switch hum before.

Try to just bypass the lid switch altogether, here is a help link:

Here is the lid switch for your model:
