Water Line problem
I have a whirlpool side by side model GD25DIXHW00. About 2 years ago it had a leak. I had it looked at and the problem was that the plastic water hose "melted" and cracked. I say melted because the line was brown as if heat impacted and then cracked. It wasn't soft as like melted plastic, just browned and cracked. They replaced the line. It was the one that runs to the water dispenser. It happened again last week, same "melted brown" look to the line. The crack came where the line comes down from inside the refrigerator and then runs under the fridge to the front. It happened in the area where the tube runs past the compressor. The compressor appears to be very hot. I looked at the fan and it blows the to the right (as you look from the back) which is away from the compressor. Should it be blow that way or should it blow on the compressor. I was concerned that maybe the fan was put on backwards.

Hi,

Sounds right....sucking air across the compressor.
The replacement motor says "Condenser fan motor kit, 2 Watt clockwise rotation".

Heat from the compressor doing that...make sure the condensor coils are good and clean...can try some copper tubing instead of the plastic or cover the plastic with a protective cover in that area.
