The filter status light blinks when I open the door. It remains green however it blinks a few times then stays solid. Can anyone tell me what this means?
Everything else appears to be working well. I have noticed no other issues, just the blinking.
Thanks

Yes, I've tried resetting the status light and that did not help. Last night I unplugged the refrigerator and let it sit for about 2-3 mins and then plugged it back in and this has stopped the flashing for now. I will check again this evening to see if the blinking has returned.
The light would blink 5 times and then stay solid green. Some alarm indicator maybe?
Recently the flashing went from several flashes and then turning solid to now the green light continually flashes the entire time the door is open.
I found this service bulletin http://www.whirlpoolparts.ca/POL/Ser...e=8178769C.pdf . Could this be my problem? I still haven't noticed any decrease in functionality but fear a problem is occurring.

You may have a problem with the adaptive defrost control. Some of the older boards had a part go out and you couldn't reset the filter status. Read this service flash.

I've never tried it. You don't have a defrost problem and that's all that service flash addresses. Cutting out the resistor doesn't mean the WFI will reset. Do you have that style board on your model? I think yours is different.
