Whirlpool S/S ice maker leaks water
Brand:
Whirlpool
Age:
More than 10 years
Every once in a while my ice maker streams water, flooding my freezer and kitchen floor, as if the water inlet is stuck. It appears to be related to the ice maker shut off arm. The arm doesn't seem to stay in place and when it falls out we seem to have the problem. Help!
Thank you

Thanks for the reply, Jake! Can we install this ice maker without calling a service tech? Time is no concern, so I guess I'm wondering about the included instructions and installation difficulty. We have tools and general know-how on home repairs.
Thanks again,
Andi

Yes Andi,
The instructions explain how to install the new one.
If you've fixed other things around your house, it shouldn't be a problem.
