Conquest not making ice
I have a Conquest side-by-side model GS6SHAXMS00, mfg date 09/03. It stopped making ice but it was a week before I noticed. The arm was stuck in the 6:00 position frozen in half size ice cubes. I got the hairdryer, melted it and cleaned everything out. I rotated the arm to the 2:00 position as stated in the posts that I found. Unplugged the refrigerator for 3 minutes to reset. Held down the left flap and the light switch for a couple minutes but never heard any motor sounds. The LED blinks when I have the door open. Stays on when I hold down the left flap and goes out when I hold the light switch. It's been a week now and still no movement or ice.
What is my next step? Is the board bad?
Thanks in advance for your help.

How did you rotate the arm to the 2:00 position?
Your board could be bad, or the gear on your ice maker is broken. That gear should not move freely with your hand.

I rotated the "fingers" with my hand. It turned easily. I rotated it until I heard a click and stopped in the 2:00 position. So it sounds like the gears are broken.
Even if the gears are broken, shouldn't I hear something turning? It's been completely silent. What part will I need to order?
How do I check if the board is bad?
Would any of this be under warranty? I've had the refrigerator for 2 1/2 years. Got it brand new with the house from the builder so I have no receipt or proof of purchase.

Yes, sounds like your gear is stripped, you shouldn't have been able to move the ejector blades with your hand.
Here is the module assembly for your model:
Icemaker control module kit
No, your warranty is only for 1 yr. except on the sealed system, which is 5 yrs.
Your board should be fine.

OK. I replaced the module. The white plastic piece was broken. I unplugged the refrigerator for 2 minutes. Held in the left flap and light switch for 2 minutes and nothing happened. No sounds.
When I open the door the LED flashes 2 times, then 1 second pause.
Stays on when I hold the left flap.
Goes off when I hold the light switch.
What does that mean? Don't tell me I have a bad sensor board.

Remember when they said patience is a virtue ... well it seems the fingers slowly rotated when I wasn't paying attention. The water filled the tray when they got to the 10:00 position and now they are resting in the 2:00 position.
Now comes the hard part ...waiting for the water to freeze. It looks like I'm on the way to getting my first harvest but I won't know until morning.

Yes, it takes time.
Hopefully you got it fixed, it sounds like it.

Conquest doing same thing
I have had my conquest for 13 months now. The Icemaker stopped once before, and I took out the filter, replaced it, and all went back to normal.
It has recently stopped working again, and tried the same trick...no such luck.
I have been reading these blogs about the ejector arm position. I am looking at mine, and the water spout is on the right side. From this side, it appears my arms are in the 8' O clock position, as if they were pointing at my chest.
Is there a way to move these arms, without using my hands? Otherwords, is there some button I can push to make the ice machine cycle?
This is really frustrating! I bought this fridge/freezer the same time I bought the whirpool duet washer & dryer. I have already had problems with the washer, now this! Does Whirlpool not make good products anymore??
