Ice maker slowly trying to make ice(bulletin)
The fridge model is ED5NHGXRQ00. The ice maker stopped making ice almost completely. After the mold fills with water, the rake is at about 2 o'clock. At some point, the ice warms and the rake comes down to about 4 o'clock. The rake ends up freezing within the ice. Eventually (another warming period maybe) the rake gets the ice out of the mold; however, given the rake was frozen within the ice, the ice never gets completely dumped for the cycle to start again. The ice and rake end up at about 2 o'clock, and I have to grab the ice of the top of the rake. This weird cycle then starts again.

Yeah I find that with fridges the ice machine is often the 1st thing to go. I'm not sure why. Maybe all the changing temperatures in it affects things.
I'm only for stainless steel
appliances.
Anything else will fade with time and
not look as good.
