WhirlPool Super Capcity 465 doesn't light back burner
The back burner's "spark plug" is clearly cracked and the spark occurs down near the bottom along the crack rather than at the top, so it rarely ignites on its own.
What part(s) do I need to replace? What are the part #s?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You would need a new spark igniter itself, If you can post the model#, we can help you look-it up.

Question for Jake
Jake,
I installed the part and all seems to work OK. I lifted up the surface where the burners sit. After cajoling the burners free from their respective gas output pipes, the lid lifted completely. Fishing the new wire through was tricky but not too bad. After replacing the spark igniter, I simply closed the lid, cajoling the gas output pipes back into the burner assemblies.
I am surprised that the burners seem to just sit on the gas output pipes with the spring-like seals. My impression is that these wouldn't form much of a seal. Is there anything tricky that I might have overlooked?
Thanks in advance,
Mark
