Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 Model SF362BEGQ0 Oven overheated
Our range is at least 7 years old. Recently, while baking cookies, the oven didn't seem to be regulating temperature and just got really hot. After turning off the oven, it seemed to cool down after a long time but never shut off until the gas supply was turned off. We haven't felt comfortable using it since. Any ideas?? Also, should we buy a new range and are they all alike or are some more reliable?? Thanks

So the gas flame was still on for along time after you turned off your oven? or was it just glowing orange in the bottom of your oven?
You may either have a short/grounded glow bar
or your oven control
is bad.
