Hi! I bought a Whirlpool side by side fridge 2 yrs ago and the flap where the ice comes out won't completely close. I can hold it down from the inside and it just pops back up. It's letting warm air into the freezer and icing everything up.

I temporarily sealed the inside door opening with plastic (Ziploc bag & tape), and the warm moist air hitting the cold plastic resulted in an ice barrier that now covers it. So my food is not in any danger of thawing, but now to get ice I have to open the door. Kinda defeats the purpose of having an ice dispenser.

If anyone can help me understand how to actually fix the flap I would DEEPLY appreciate it!! THANKS!
